 A state that defines the rich ancient history of India- Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1526, the land is remarkable for its spiritual creative history and secularity. A state where great sages have risen and given birth to epic - Ramayan and Mahabharata. “Kashi” now recognized as Varanasi is the spiritual capital of U. P and a prominent tourist spot. The Sarnath temples comprise distinct species of shrines which are located in the Vishwanath Gali, a small lane. 

The famous Kashi fort also known as the Ramnagar Fort is situated facing the Tulsi Ghat. Build by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya in 1900, Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple is dedicated to Lord Rama and Hanuman. From Manikarnika ghat to Durga temple, Varanasi is full of beauty and elegance. The most famous glory of Kashi is the saying that anyone who dies there attains moksha, as Lord in Varanasi, is known to be Lord “Avimukta” as Lord Shiva never forsook Varanasi..

 One of the most remarkable places of pilgrimage for the devotees of Krishna - Vrindavan. The most famous temples here are - Banke Bihari and ISKCON temple. Mathur, also known as the city of Lord Krishna (Shri Krishna Janmabhumi) is located on the ancient silk trade route has a Government Foundation with a magnificent assemblage of sculpture from the time of Lord Buddha. The two most prominent temples here are the Dwarkadheesh Temple and the Gita Mandir. The magnificent birthplace of Lord Rama - Ayodha is an attractive tourist spot, also knows as Ram Janmabhoomi. 

It was a significant place during the time of Lord Buddha and has Buddhist temples to celebrate that attachment. Buddhism, a faith planted by Siddhartha Gautama, is a religion of harmony and solidarity. Some of the most significant Buddhist places are the Sanchi Stupa (old-stone structure) in Madhya Pradesh, Sarnath temple in Varanasi, and Mahabodhi Temple in Bihar. The famous Tibetan temple of Varanasi was where Lord Buddha taught his disciples the four truths of life. It is decorated with Thangksa, traditional paintings, and a beautiful statue of Shakyamuni. 

A religion of health and welfare - Jainism. Lord Mahavir was the twenty-fourth and the last Tirthankara of the Jain religion. The famous Ranakpur Jain Temple (Rajasthan) is a great pilgrimage for them. The Gomateshwara Temple, Dilwara Temple, Rishabhdeo temple, and Badami cave temples are some of the most ancient places of Jains. While talking about ancient India, we can never forget the religion of love - Sikhs. Ranging from the famous Golden Temple to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib in New Delhi, Sikhs believe in one God -Waheguru, which means ‘Wonderful Lord’ or ‘Wonderful Teacher’. 

The most famous tradition of Vrindavan is Janmashtami (the birth of Lord Krishna). The “Ram Leela” festival is a lively representation of the chapters of Ramayana enacted as a part of the traditional “Dushera” festival. Vibrant cultures of Mathura and Vrindavan can please anyone’s eyes, From the entertaining dance festival, Rasleela to Janmashtami and Govardhan puja, the city sets wonder to a divine soul. A holy place of lord shiva, Kashi Vishwanath is memorable for Phalgun Shukla Ekadashi, a tradition followed before Holi.

The history of Uttar Pradesh is over 400 years old, and it is said to be the center of Hindu culture. Uttar Pradesh is also known as the “Sugarcane Bowl” as it produces more than half the sugarcane in India’s total cane production. It is the most visited state every year with an average of 7.1 million people. It is also known as the  “Hind heartland” as some of the most prodigious writers from here (Kabirdas, Tulsidas, Surdas, Harishchandra, Harivansh Rai bachhan) have contributed to flourish Hindi literature.
